"fine/bad/ok", "What is your name?" "My name is__" and to count up to 10 and back down again in Swahili, all without speaking any English. It was fun! They always asked me afterwards how much Swahili I knew, and I answered, "I just taught you everything I know!" :-)<br /><br />If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend the film "Nirgendwo in Afrika", which takes place mainly in Kenya. Brilliant German film, and the book is good, too, of course.<br /><br />We do lamb stew several times each winter. Unusual choice. I used to know a cou...Wow, Swahili! Unusual choice. I used to know a couple of sentences of Swahili but all I can remember is "jambo", which means hello. (My dad went to Kenya - I think with the army - and for a while I had a Kenyan neighbour when I lived in a German student residence).<br /><br />Mmm, Wild! And lamb stew!
