We were there once but didn't go inside. Tantallon isn't even far from you - definitely check it out. I'll be posting about some places we ate and visited not far from Edinburgh, so you could combine those and make a short day trip out of them! :-)Ami im Schwabenlandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13148291164062226269noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8775665740005660017.post-50391920917689565542017-07-14T20:44:10.978+02:002017-07-14T20:44:10.978+02:00Oh wow some of these I haven't visited! There ...Oh wow some of these I haven't visited! There is so much choice in Scotland honestly! And I agree, Stirling had more to it - it's much more interesting than Edinburgh Castle!Camilahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08272847682494279472noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8775665740005660017.post-1157405615815331292017-07-11T13:26:31.844+02:002017-07-11T13:26:31.844+02:00I'm just tired of Neuschwanstein and the hype ...I'm just tired of Neuschwanstein and the hype (and I agree about Heidelberg - it's fine, but I wouldn't choose it as a city to show to a visiting friend). Herrenchiemsee, Linderhof, Hohenzollern are all far more beautiful than NSS, in my opinion (and completed).Ami im Schwabenlandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13148291164062226269noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8775665740005660017.post-40851754769713811702017-07-11T08:24:18.560+02:002017-07-11T08:24:18.560+02:00This comment cracked me up: "as long as it...This comment cracked me up: "as long as it's not Neuschwanstein." I've been too (17 years ago) and while it's neat, I don't need to go again, either. It seems that this castle and Heidelberg are what tourists know about Germany. While I like Heidelberg well enough, I find it a bit overrated for a tourist place. The atmosphere is interesting but beyond that, it's about half a day, max, of sightseeing. I'd rather go to a bigger city.ATWhttp://aroundthewherever.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.com
